Description

This is a Japanese studio pottery vase, crafted by the artist Masahide Matsuyama at the Kujaku Kiln. It comes with its original inscribed wooden storage box (tomobako) and an information slip.

The vase features a traditional long-necked "tsurukubi" (crane neck) shape with a bulbous lower body. It is covered in a distinctive "Peacock Glaze" (Kujaku-yu), characterized by a deep, rich purplish-red color with subtle blue and white gradients flowing downwards from the rim. The unglazed base bears the artist's stamped seal.
