This is an antique Japanese tea bowl (Chawan), likely from the Late Edo to Bakumatsu period. It is a fine example of E-Seto style pottery from the Seto-Mino tradition, featuring hand-painted iron decoration with lattice and floral-like motifs on a soft cream-colored crackled glaze.
A notable feature of this piece is the visible Kintsugi-style repair, which highlights the bowl’s long history and adds a beautiful wabi-sabi character.
