This is a set of Japanese tobacco tray (Tabako-bon) and Haifuki (ash container) from the Edo to Meiji period.

It includes a brazier (metal insert for charcoal) and a cylindrical haifuki used for disposing of ashes and used tobacco from a kiseru pipe.

The haifuki is made of wood and features a lacquered wooden lid, reflecting the careful craftsmanship of the time.
This is a fine piece that represents traditional Japanese smoking culture, and is highly recommended for collectors and enthusiasts of Japanese antiques.
