The detailed color prints depict warriors, armor, and legendary battles, reflecting Japan’s long tradition of illustrated storytelling similar to ukiyo-e.
Participating artists include notable Meiji–Showa ukiyo-e masters such as Ogata Gekkō, Kobayashi Kiyochika, Mizuno Toshikata, Tsukioka Yoshitoshi, and Yōsai Nobukazu, all known for their historical and warrior-themed works.
