Japanese Wooden Mulberry Sewing Box Haribako Tansu Chest Drawers Storage

This is a Japanese wooden sewing box (Haribako) crafted from richly grained mulberry wood.
This is a high-grade Japanese sewing box (Haribako).
When one drawer is opened and lightly pushed, another drawer opens automatically — a mechanism often found in the finest works of master cabinetmakers (sashimonoshi).
This effect is achieved because the drawers are crafted with extremely precise dimensions, allowing the air pressure inside to gently push open the adjacent drawer.
Such craftsmanship is a hallmark of superior quality and refined traditional joinery.
It features multiple drawers and compartments designed for organizing sewing tools and small accessories.
The natural wood grain and warm tone bring out the charm of traditional Japanese craftsmanship, blending beauty and practicality in perfect balance.
