This is a Seihakuji (pale blue celadon) plate crafted by Kaiji Tsukamoto, a designated Living National Treasure of Japan. The base of the plate bears the artist's hallmark stamp, and it includes the original signed wooden storage box (tomobako).
The interior is decorated with a "Karakusa" (arabesque) motif, rendered in a subtle relief technique under a translucent pale blue glaze. The piece exhibits the refined color and precise carving characteristic of Tsukamoto's work in celadon porcelain.
