Description
This is a woodblock print by Iwao Akiyama (1921–2014), a renowned artist of the Sosaku Hanga (Creative Print Movement). Created in 1980, the work is titled “Koi Neko” (Loving Cats) and depicts two expressive black cats with striking red eyes. Akiyama was known for his humorous and powerful depictions of animals and folklore themes, and this piece is an excellent example of his artistry.
