Vintage Japanese Green Glass "Kori-Koppu" Ice Cup – c. 1940s–1960s
This is a vintage Japanese kori-koppu (ice cup) made between the 1940s and 1960s. These types of glass cups were commonly used in old-fashioned kissaten (Japanese cafés) for serving shaved ice and cold desserts. Crafted from pressed green-tinted glass, it features a scalloped bowl and a sturdy pedestal base. The glass has a beautiful retro aesthetic typical of mid-20th century Japanese design, with minor air bubbles and variations that give it character. Condition: Very good vintage condition with no cracks or major chips. Minor signs of age such as small surface scratches and manufacturing imperfections typical of the era. A charming piece for collectors of Showa-era glassware or those who appreciate nostalgic Japanese design.
