Vintage Japanese Cast Copper Vase by Shoryu Red Speckled Pattern with Original Signed Wooden Box BV218

This is a vintage Japanese cast copper flower vase created by Shoryu. It comes with the original wooden storage box (tomobako) featuring handwritten ink inscriptions.

The vase is characterized by its slender, gracefully elongated form and elegant silhouette. The most striking feature is its distinctive aged patina, with a rich earth-brown base accented by dynamic and abstract red speckled patterns. This remarkable metal coloring technique highlights the artisan’s craftsmanship and gives the piece a deep wabi-sabi aesthetic. It is ideal for use as an ikebana flower vase, and also serves as a striking sculptural art object for both traditional Japanese and modern interior settings.
