It is common to see stacked pieces like this in Yamachawan, but it is quite rare to find such an example in Yamahai. In Japan, there are many antique enthusiasts who are also sake lovers, so small cups like this are traded at high prices. Since these cups are fused together, they are even more interesting. The faint bluish-green natural glaze remaining in some areas gives them a jewel-like appearance.
