Vintage Takaoka Copperware Bronze Flower Vase Houun Hexagonal Bud Vase BV774

This is a Japanese bronze flower vase crafted in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture. It is an authentic piece of cast bronze metalwork by the artisan Houun.

The vase features a tall, slender, hexagonal obelisk-like shape tapering towards the top. Three sides of the hexagonal column are finished with a smooth, dark brown patina, while the alternating three sides feature a highly textured, bark-like rough surface. The base is flat and unglazed bronze metal.
