Vintage Takaoka Bronze Vase Ryusen Mandarin Duck Plum Bamboo Pattern BV760

This is a vintage Japanese cast bronze flower vase crafted by Ryusen in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture. It comes enclosed in a plain paper box.

The bulbous vessel features a dark brown patinated surface decorated with a raised relief motif of a pair of mandarin ducks, plum blossoms, and bamboo on one side. The raised relief design is accentuated with a golden-bronze coloration, and a square artisan stamp reading "Ryusen" is incised on the underside.
