Vintage Japanese Silk Hanging Scroll Painting Chikutei Owl Akebia

This is a vintage Japanese hanging scroll (kakejiku) painted on silk by the artist Chikutei. 

The artwork depicts a scops owl perched on a branch of an akebia (chocolate vine) with its distinctive fruit and leaves, rendered in traditional Japanese painting techniques. The mounting features a blue patterned brocade and off-white roller ends. The artist's signature and a red seal are located in the lower corner of the painting.
