This is a vintage Japanese heavy cast iron ashtray, beautifully modeled after a traditional tea ceremony brazier (furo) and kettle. The exterior features a classic kikko (hexagonal tortoise shell) pattern and is accented with traditional decorative ring handles.
Weighing nearly 3 kg, it is a highly solid and stable piece. While originally designed as an ashtray, its deep, rustic wabi-sabi presence makes it equally suited as an incense burner, a small decorative hearth, or a striking cast-iron accent for Japanese-inspired or industrial interiors. The piece separates into multiple parts (lid, upper pot, lower brazier base) for easy handling and cleaning.
