This is a natural Japanese Suiseki (viewing stone) sourced from Hokkaido, specifically known as a Ponpira stone. It is a traditional scholar's rock appreciated for its natural formation, presented on a custom-carved wooden base (daiza).
The stone features a tall, vertical orientation resembling a weathered cliff or an ancient ruined pillar. It has a heavily textured, light grayish-brown surface with distinct horizontal and vertical fissures and deep clefts. The dark reddish-brown wooden daiza is carved to support the stone's upright posture.
