This is a natural Japanese Suiseki (viewing stone) sourced from Hokkaido, traditionally known as a Daruma stone. It is presented with a carved wooden base (daiza).
The stone features an upright, rounded form with a deep circular depression on the front, resembling the silhouette of Bodhidharma in meditation. The surface exhibits a rough, granular texture with light grayish-brown and earthy tones. Please note that the carved grooves on the wooden daiza do not perfectly match the contours of the stone's bottom, indicating that this base was likely originally made for a different stone.
