Description
The fabric is dyed in a deep indigo blue and decorated with a traditional tsutsugaki resist-dyed white scrolling motif. Unlike stencil-dyed katazome, the design appears to have been drawn by hand using resist paste, resulting in slightly irregular and expressive lines.
The bag is constructed from joined pieces of old woven fabric and features hand-stitched seams and historical repairs, adding to its rustic character and age.
