This is a cast bronze paperweight (bunshin) titled "Ding-Hai," crafted by the renowned Japanese metal artist Shugoro Hasuda. Hasuda was a recipient of the Order of Culture and a prominent figure in modern Japanese casting.

The piece features an abstract modernist form with a textured bronze surface and a curved handle. The lower corner is engraved with the artist's hallmark "修". The title "Ding-Hai" refers to the Year of the Boar in the traditional sexagenary cycle. It includes the original signed wooden storage box (tomobako).

Condition:
