Vintage Japanese Bronze Daikokuten Statue Signed Motomitsu Lucky God Figure

This is a vintage Japanese cast bronze statue of Daikokuten, one of the Seven Lucky Gods (Shichi Fukujin), beautifully crafted by the artist Motomitsu. Daikokuten is the deity of wealth, agriculture, and prosperity. Here, he is depicted in his classic joyful form, holding his magical wish-granting mallet (uchide no kozuchi) and a large sack of treasures over his shoulder, while standing upon two bales of rice, which symbolize a bountiful harvest.

This piece is exceptionally well-cast, with a solid, heavy feel (weighing over 2kg) and meticulous attention to detail, particularly in the deity's deeply expressive, smiling face. The artist's signature, "Motomitsu," is elegantly engraved on the back. This auspicious figure serves as a powerful talisman for good fortune and a commanding, high-quality bronze artwork for any Japanese-inspired or traditional interior.
