Inari worship is one of Japan's folk beliefs centered around the deity Inari, who is primarily revered as the god of agriculture, especially rice cultivation. However, Inari is also worshipped for blessings related to business prosperity, family safety, and success in the arts. The deity is closely associated with the white fox, which is considered Inari's messenger, and you’ll often see fox statues at the entrance of Inari shrines.
A famous example of this faith is Fushimi Inari Taisha in Kyoto, known for its thousands of vermilion torii gates.
