Masashige Kusunoki was a military commander from the end of the Kamakura period to the Nanbokucho period.

Born in Tegara, Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture. Graduated from Kyoto Painting College. Studied under Takeuchi Seiho through introduction by Keika Kaneshima. Selected for the Teiten Exhibition while still a student. After the war, it was exhibited at the Nitten Exhibition. Received the Japan Art Academy Award in 1965. Became a member of the Art Institute in 1984. Received the Order of the Rising Sun with Small Cordon and the Medal with Dark Blue Ribbon. Advisor to Nitten. He was good at painting flowers and birds. ShÅji Hamada, Japanese Painting Department, is a child.
