Made of ceramics
This is a traditional Japanese Joruri doll, beautifully crafted with remarkable detail. The doll's head is made of ceramic, capturing the distinct features of classical Joruri performances.
There are several decorative strings attached to the bottom, but they serve only as ornamentation. Unlike the authentic Joruri dolls made by master puppeteers, the eyes and mouth of this piece are fixed and do not move. Original Joruri dolls with movable parts, created by skilled artisans, are highly valuable and can fetch a premium price.
Although this version does not have moving parts, it is an impressive and realistic reproduction, offering an affordable way to own a piece of Japan’s rich cultural heritage.
