This is a decoration of JIZAI KAGI used in the hearth.
in Japan, a JIZAI KAGI(cross bar) suspended above the hearth which is used to adjust the height of the pothook.
It is a very detailed carving and a beautiful Carp.
It is a very superior sculpture.
