Shigaraki-yaki Flat tea bowlâ
During the Edo period, Shigaraki-yaki bowls were not widely used in tea ceremonies because their rough clay texture could damage tatami mats. Additionally, the limited production area and complex kiln structure resulted in a relatively small number of Shigaraki-yaki bowls. However, their rarity and unique qualities have made them highly valued over time.
