Rare Foot Fragment of a Jomon Period Clay Figurine (Dogu) – With Wooden Display Stand
This is an authentic foot fragment from a clay figurine known as Dogu, dating to the Late Jomon Period (approx. 2000–1000 BCE), or about 4,000 to 3,000 years ago. These figurines were created for spiritual or ritualistic purposes and are distinct from ordinary Jomon pottery.
Fragments such as arms or legs are extremely rare in the antique market. Complete Dogu figures are exceptionally valuable and rarely available. Even a single foot like this retains powerful spiritual presence and mystery.
