Description

This is a vintage Japanese sakiori (rag weaving) textile, traditionally known as kofu (old fabric). 

It features a multi-colored striped pattern created by tightly weaving thin strips of repurposed old cotton cloth. The large square textile is constructed by joining several woven panels together and is finished with a bordered edge. It also displays a traditional hand-stitched mending patch.
