Description

This is a Japanese two-panel folding screen (byobu) that functions as a low room divider, featuring a wooden frame and cloth mounting.
The front side depicts traditional human figures dressed in kimono, alongside cherry blossoms and peony flowers painted on a textured, gold-toned background. The reverse side is plain with several small printed cards attached to the surface.

There are signs of aging and wear throughout. There is significant peeling of the painted surface on the inside of the central folding area. The wooden frame has small scratches, and there is a light red stain on the lower portion of the frame.
