This is an antique Japanese wooden yagura frame, traditionally used as part of a kotatsu heating system. Crafted from natural wood with visible joinery, it represents the ingenuity of Japanese daily life and craftsmanship from the past. Nowadays, I often see it being used with a glass top placed on it as a table.
