This is a beautiful antique Kizeto (Ko-Seto) Mizusashi, a traditional Japanese water jar used in tea ceremonies. The piece features a graceful shinogi (ridged)"ridge line on the blade" design carved with a spatula, creating an elegant and natural texture around the body. The soft yellow glaze characteristic of Kizeto ware enhances its timeless aesthetic.
This exquisite piece can be enjoyed as a display ceramic, or it can be repurposed as a flower vase to bring a touch of Japanese tradition to your space.
The original old cedar box is included, with the inscription "古瀬戸 (Ko-Seto)" on the lid, affirming its authenticity.
