Japanese Iron Bell Buddhism Temple Shinto Shrine Suzu Gong BOS963

Description

I have handled several bells like this, but this one is considerably heavier.
Because it is thick, the sound does not have the resonance or spread of a typical bell.

This is a Japanese iron bell traditionally used in Buddhist temples or Shinto shrines. The bell has a simple yet powerful form, made of solid cast iron with a natural aged patina. Its deep, resonant sound reflects the spiritual atmosphere of religious rituals and practices in Japan.

Features

  • Material: Iron

  • Traditional Japanese temple and shrine bell

  • Rich brown patina with natural aging

  • Solid construction, producing a strong resonant tone

Uses
Perfect for collectors of Japanese Buddhist and Shinto artifacts, or as a decorative display representing Japanese spiritual culture. It can also serve as a unique interior accent with historical and cultural value.
