There is a handwritten ink inscription on the underside stating "Purchased in Meiji 28 (1895)" and it also bears a branding mark.This is an authentic Japanese antique wooden round tray (Bon), crafted during the Meiji period and signed on the base. The tray is finished in red and black lacquer, a traditional style often used in tea ceremony and formal dining.
