Japanese Antique Wood Foldable Low Desk Table Mitsuba Aoi Crest Kyozukue

This is an antique Japanese wooden low desk (kyozukue) featuring a functional foldable design. It is constructed from wood with a polished reddish-brown finish.

The legs are decorated with carved "Mitsuba Aoi" (triple hollyhock) crest motifs. The desk is designed for use as a low side table, sutra desk, or display stand. The structure allows the legs to be tucked underneath for storage.

Condition:
There is a 13 cm crack on the surface that penetrates through to the underside. A separate 9 cm crack is also present on the surface. The table shows surface scuffs, scratches, and finish wear consistent with age and historical use. The Buddhist statues and tea bowls shown in the photographs are for demonstration purposes only and are not included in this sale.
