Description

A contemporary Japanese ceramic katakuchi (spouted vessel), accompanied by a separate wooden display board. The pouring lip gives the vessel its characteristic asymmetrical profile.

Its pale, heavily textured exterior contrasts with a dark brown glazed interior. The irregular faceted body and pronounced spout give it a sculptural appearance.
