This is an antique Japanese wooden Omikuji fortune-telling box complete with numerous traditional fortune sticks. Such sets were commonly used at Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples, representing a long-standing cultural practice of seeking guidance and blessings.
This Omikuji set is crafted from natural wood and retains a warm, rustic patina developed over time. The hand-written characters on the fortune sticks indicate traditional fortune ranks used in Japanese shrine culture, such as “Good Fortune,” “Small Fortune,” or “Blessing.”
