Vintage Japanese Wooden Shogi Board Set with Koma Pieces WO631

 The pieces are relatively new.
The legs are removable. Some legs may detach when lifted, so adhesive is required if you wish to fix them permanently.
This is a vintage Japanese wooden Shogi (Japanese chess) set. It includes a traditional footed playing board (Shogi-ban) and a complete set of wooden playing pieces (Koma) in their original storage box.

The Shogi board is crafted from solid wood, featuring a prominent, natural grain pattern on the playing surface. The grid lines are drawn directly onto the wood. The board is elevated by four faceted, removable wooden legs. The accompanying playing pieces are also made of wood, with the Japanese characters stamped or printed in black ink.
