Vintage Japanese Hanging Scroll Kakejiku Tanuki Raccoon Dog Moon ASO461

This is a vintage Japanese hanging scroll (kakejiku) featuring a painting of tanuki (raccoon dogs). It is a traditional artwork mounted on patterned brocade fabric with roller ends.

The painting depicts two tanuki in a field of tall grasses and small blue flowers under a full moon, rendered in ink and light colors. The artwork includes a signature and a red vessel-shaped seal. The piece is framed by a golden-toned patterned brocade mounting.
