■ Description Item Details This is a Japanese antique hanging scroll (Kakejiku) painting on silk, depicting a Crow (Karasu) perched on a Cherry Blossom (Sakura) branch under a hazy Full Moon.

• Artist: Kato Eishu (加藤英舟).

  • Biography: A painter from the Kyoto circle. He studied under influential masters Kono Bairei, Kishi Chikudo, and Takeuchi Seiho, placing him in the lineage of the Maruyama-Shijo school.

• Subject: "Moonlight Night, Cherry Blossoms, and Crow" (月下夜桜烏図). The artwork contrasts the ominous black crow with the delicate, pale beauty of the spring blossoms and the moon.

• Material: Hand-painted on Silk (Kenpon).

• Mounting: Silk brocade mounting.

• Roller Ends: Lacquered Wood / Resin.
