This is a Japanese Seto ware (Seto-yaki) ceramic sake bottle (tokkuri), produced during the Late Edo period.
The vessel features a slender neck and a cylindrical body covered in a light cream glaze with fine overall craquelure. The exterior is decorated with an abstract grass or branch motif painted in iron-brown glaze. The swift and distinct brushwork reflects a strong individual character and original design style.
