Yukihiko Ogawa – Biography
1942 – Born in Tokyo, Japan

After graduating from Meiji University – Studied under ceramic artist Shigeya Iwabuchi

In his 20s – Selected for the Japan Traditional Art Crafts Exhibition for four consecutive years and recommended as a regular member

Around 1968 – Built his climbing kiln “Tenkei-gama” in Shimada City, Shizuoka, and began researching ancient ceramics such as Shidoro ware

1969 – Officially became a regular member of the Japan Kogei Association

1970s–1980s – Produced numerous works featuring Shidoro, ash glaze, and natural glazes

Later years – Collaborated with Shimizu Kosho, the senior priest of Todai-ji Temple, and pursued his own unique ceramic path

1998 – Passed away
