Edo Period Ko-Imari Blue and White Soba Choko Cup Set Net Flower 2pcs

This is a set of two antique Japanese porcelain cups (soba choko) dating from the mid to late Edo period (18th-19th century). These items are Ko-Imari ware, featuring cobalt blue underglaze on a white porcelain base.

The exterior is hand-painted with an "Amide Hana-mon" (net and flower) motif, also known as "Hyoretsu-mon" (cracked ice). The cups feature a simple, unglazed foot ring at the base, characteristic of historical production methods of the period.

Size:
Height: 5.6 cm / 2.2 in
Width: 7.2 cm / 2.8 in
Depth: 7.2 cm / 2.8 in
Weight: 210 g / 0.46 lbs

Small, aged chips are present on the base (foot ring). The surface shows signs of aging, including natural iron spots (kiln marks), minor glaze irregularities, and wear consistent with its historical use and firing techniques.
