Vintage Takaoka Copperware Bronze Eggplant Water Dropper Vegetable Figurine BV767
This is a Japanese bronze water dropper (suiteki) manufactured in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture, during the Showa period. It is crafted from cast bronze as a piece of traditional metalwork and functions as a calligraphy tool or decorative desktop figurine.
The object is sculpted in the realistic shape of an eggplant (nasu), finished with a dark, near-black bronze patina. It features a small water inlet hole near the textured calyx and a narrow spout at the tip of the stem, with an artisan mark stamped within a square frame on the flat bottom surface.
