Vintage Japanese Horagai Conch Shell Trumpet Display Object SG91

This is a vintage Japanese horagai (conch shell trumpet), estimated to be 40 to 50 years old. Due to its current condition, it is recommended primarily as a display object.

The large shell features natural brown striped patterns along its spiral body. The tip area where the mouthpiece would be shows remnants of a dark, possibly lacquered, coating. A piece of old cord is tied around the opening of the shell.
