Vintage Japanese Bamboo Lidded Box Hakone Yosegi Chest Lacquer Sake Cup Set
This is a vintage Japanese craft set consisting of a bamboo box with a hinged lid, a Hakone Yosegi Zaiku miniature two-drawer chest, and a painted lacquer sake cup. The set represents various traditional regional handcraft techniques of Japan.
The cylindrical bamboo container features a natural exterior texture, a precisely structured wooden hinge, and a black-lacquered interior. The small Hakone chest is covered in intricate geometric wood marquetry on its outer surfaces. The lacquer sake cup displays red and gold patterns on a dark green base and comes with its original wooden storage box.
