Japanese Vintage Wood Carved Bitchu Kagura Mask Signed Kosaku Tanabe MSK541

This is a vintage Japanese wood-carved Kagura mask used in traditional performing arts, specifically a Bitchu Kagura mask. The reverse side features the stamped artist marks of Kosaku Tanabe.

The face is finished with a white coated surface accentuated by orange lines and metallic eyes. It features natural hair for the thick eyebrows and long beard. The back displays clear chisel marks from the hand-carving process and comes with a hanging cord.
