■ Description Item Details This is a set of two Japanese antique / vintage Temple Bells (Hansho or Tsurigane). They are traditionally hung in temples or fire watchtowers.

• Set of 2: Includes one large bell (dark patina) and one small bell (green verdigris patina).

• Sound: Both bells produce a high-pitched, pleasant, and clear sound characteristic of Japanese metalwork.

• Designs:

  • Large Bell: Features a traditional stud design (Nyu) and a dragon-shaped handle (Ryuzu).

  • Small Bell: Features a relief carving of a Buddhist angel or Phoenix and has a rich green verdigris finish.

• Material: Bronze / Metal alloy.

• Large Bell (Important):

  • Repair: There is a visible trace of a repair (likely a crack repair) on the body of the large bell. Please refer to the close-up photo.

  • Sound Note: Due to this repair, there is a very slight vibration (faint buzz) in the resonance. However, it still produces a good, pleasing sound overall.

• Small Bell: Shows heavy green verdigris (Rokusho) and signs of age, giving it a rustic appearance.

• General: Both items show wear, scratches, and oxidation consistent with age.
