This is a vintage Japanese suiseki (viewing stone) or scholar's rock, traditionally appreciated as a miniature natural landscape. It comes with a custom-carved wooden display base (daiza).
The natural stone features an uneven, rugged surface resembling a steep mountain peak. The upper portion is dark charcoal grey with distinct textural lines and crevices, while the lower section reveals an earthy brown tone. The wooden base is tailored to perfectly fit the contours of the stone's bottom.
