Japanese Silk Hanging Scroll Two Rabbits Moon Painting Kakejiku Box

This Japanese hanging scroll (kakejiku) features two rabbits beneath vegetation, with a pale moon in the background. The painting is executed on silk and bears a signature and seal associated with Ogawa Choyo (小川長陽).

The rabbits are rendered in soft, delicate colors, while finely painted grasses, branches, and small flowers create a quiet moonlit scene. The composition reflects the traditional Japanese appreciation of seasonal nature and animal subjects.
