This is a Japanese lost-wax cast bronze incense burner (koro), crafted by the artist Kensai II. It comes with its original inscribed wooden storage box (tomobako).

The piece is intricately modeled in the shape of a traditional Japanese thatched-roof house (shibaya). The textured roof serves as a removable lid, featuring discreet openings to allow incense smoke to escape. The exterior is finished with a dark metallic patina. An artist's seal is stamped on the lower section.
